The movie for this week was "Angels and Demons." We had a good turnout—16 people showed up. It seemed like the movie had a good reception from the group. Myself, I think that this movie deserved three stars.
This movie stars Tom Hanks as symbologist, Robert Langdon. Professor Langdon is called on by the Vatican to help solve a murder, kidnapping, and threat against the papacy. A secret society, the illuminati, which has been enemies of the Catholic Church for many centuries, has resurfaced to take it's revenge on the Church.
Overall this movie was a good thriller. As Langdon follows the clues, trying to stop any one else from being hurt, I felt an intense intrest, wondering, what will happen next. Plus it is full of twists that will keep you guessing to the end.
Overall, it was a good, fun movie with an interesting plot. For those who were unable to make it with us, I would definitely suggest going to see it.
